Of my collection which includes the Sennheiser CX-300, the Etymotic ER-6i, & the Creative EP-630, I prefer the Ultimate Ears.****I wanted to add that plugging these into my Sony Walkman CD player does bring out some more bass & provides a richer, more balanced sound. Unfortunately, just like the Etymotic ER-6's, the bass can hardly be heard when using a Creative Zen set at safer, lower volumes (even with the bass boost on & the EQ cranked up at the low end). Overall, these are very nice earphones. The sound is clean & detailed, & they're very comfortable. Still, I'm not sorry I bought these.
This is my personal fav right now. Other models i own are igrado's and a CX400 Senn for the wife. This is a good middle of the road compromise for the model range. Well worth the money IMO. My price range settled me in on the metro-fi series. After reading numerous reviews on the net including things such as CNET and some hardcore audiophile forums i came across UE. Fantastic choice. A true quality earphone that really performs.
Love these earphones. They sound great and now I never have a problem having the earphones stay in my ear.
Otherwise, I'm sure the 100's and 200's are great as well. Pros:- incredible detail- rich bass- crisp treble- stylish- carrying case- reasonable price- great in-ear seal for noise-cancelingCons:- none so far I should have done this a long time ago. These are a huge upgrade from the previous Sony MDR EX51LP's that I had which cost the same amount. Better value than Shure, Sennheiser, Skullcandy. For the price, these should be more than good enough earbud headphones for the above-average, discriminating listener. I am not an extreme audiophile but I do require good sound out of my headphones. I picked these over the 100's because they look a little cleaner.
